Seaside Retreat is a 25-home oceanfront neighborhood on Jekyll Island, just south of Beach Village. Our two homes put you in the front row. Start the day on your deck or screened porch, walk across the dunes on the neighborhood boardwalk, and come back for lunch without loading the car. Both homes have four bedrooms, with Atlantic views that make staying in a perfectly good plan.

Why Stay at Seaside Retreat?
Oceanfront changes more than your view. A beach day can be a whole afternoon or an hour between breakfast and lunch. Some of the family can head for the sand while others claim a seat on the porch. You can spend the day together without needing everyone on the same schedule.
The neighborhood pairs newer homes with Lowcountry architecture, generous porches and live oaks preserved in the landscape. Its 6.9-acre site was designed with natural shade, coastal breezes and geothermal heating and cooling in mind. You get a new house in a setting that still feels like Jekyll.
A beachside community pool and pavilion are coming soon, adding another reason to spend the afternoon close to home.

Three king bedrooms make this an especially good choice for couples traveling together. Take your coffee to the upstairs ocean-facing deck and dinner to the screened porch. Two bedrooms are downstairs and two are upstairs.

A king bedroom, two queen bedrooms and a twin-over-queen bunk room give the family room to spread out. The 35-foot screened porch gives everyone a place to gather, with a gas grill beside it for dinner at home. An upstairs queen bedroom opens to an ocean-facing balcony.
Walk to Dinner and the Convention Center
Walk to dinner. Walk to your event. Come home to the ocean. Seaside Retreat puts Beach Village restaurants and shops close enough to make an evening walk part of the plan.
- Eighty Ocean Kitchen and Bar: 0.5 mile, about an 11-minute walk. Coastal Southern cooking for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
- Beach Village and Sunrise Grille: 0.7 mile, about a 14-minute walk. Browse the shops, sit down for a meal at Sunrise Grille or pick up groceries and ice at Jekyll Market in the village.
- Jekyll Island Convention Center: 0.7 mile, about a 16-minute walk. Bring the family along for your conference or event. While you head to the Convention Center, they can head to the beach.
A Short Drive Around Jekyll
- Zachry's Riverhouse: 1.3 miles, about a 4-minute drive.
- Georgia Sea Turtle Center: 1.8 miles, about a 5-minute drive. See sea turtle rehabilitation up close and give the kids a different kind of island afternoon.
- Driftwood Beach: 4.6 miles, about a 10-minute drive. The weathered trees along the shore make this one worth bringing the camera for.

Prefer two wheels? Jekyll has more than 24 miles of bike paths and trails, so a ride can be the day's outing. Come back to your porch when you have had enough exploring.
