good vacation rental with dog!
The home was perfect size for four, including 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Although this is an older beach house, it was immaculately clean and all necessities were provided. It’s a short walk to the beach, and we liked the fenced in yard for our dog. Would book again if traveling with dog! The beds were comfortable too.

Was a great house for our family of 6 and our 2 dogs. The fenced in back yard was great for our dogs. It’s a short walk to the beach and a slightly longer walk to the pier area, which has shopping and restaurants. Neighborhood was quiet and not a lot of traffic. It made for a lot of pleasant walks with the dogs. House was clean, everything worked as stated. Rental company was easy to work with when we needed to extend the stay for a few days due to poor weather and road conditions on the way home.

last minute weekend stay
We decided last minute for a weekend at the beach before our 2 kids went back to high school and college in the next week. The house was perfect for our family needs with the beach and village within walking distance. Being able to bring our 2 dogs and have a fenced in yard was great. Although we didn’t cook during our short stay, we noticed the spices and oils available for use which we would have definitely appreciated with a longer stay. So many don’t have any. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend

First time to island and enjoyed our stay. House was comfortable for my husband and I and two teenage boys. We cooked breakfast most days and had all the necessary cooking supplies. Location was great and only 5 min walk to the ocean or restaurants and coffee shops. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great location to beach and restaurants...all walking distance. Fenced backyard was a big plus with the dogs.Housrle was clean and heating worked great. I did miss not having a smart tv and the master bad mattress was not comfortable, worn out and too soft.

great place for pets
We spent the Thanksgiving weekend with our son. The house was perfect. The fenced in back yard was a plus. Having owned rental properties in the past I always take note of the kitchen. This kitchen was small but well appointed. A close walk to the beach and “oak” park.....both great destinations for our dog. I would definitely stay here again!

The house was perfect in relation to the beach and the fenced backyard was so convenient since we brought our dog. The street was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. This house was very clean and well decorated. It is situated in a great location between East Beach and Main Street. Wi fi, ac all worked great! Only issue was with small ants in the kitchen area. They sent an exterminator over however he never showed I’m guessing because it was the weekend. Overall great stay and would recommend to anyone. We will definitely be back and look to stay at an Emmonds property!

The house was well equipped and comfortable. There were only 3 of us could possibly be crowded if 6 people were there. The weather was horrible but that can't be helped by anyone. The office was awesome and accommodating. Overall we had a great time and experience.

We had a delightful time and the weather was perfect. The cottage was in a wonderful location to the village and restaurants. The boys chartered a boat and had a successful fishing trip. The cottage was clean and had what we needed. The backyard was large and securely fenced for our dog. Puff had a great time being walked around the neighborhood and staying indoors with us mostly. vibrant colors in a pet-friendly cottage
We enjoyed our stay at this pet-friendly cottage. It was convenient to the beach (4-5 blocks, as per usual for St Simons), great dining, and the Village. Management was very responsive to a couple of minor things that needed attention. Remember to bring your own beach chairs; otherwise the house had all the necessities we three needed for ten days. Great vibrant colors and comfortable beds were appreciated!!

As soon as we punched in the door code and opened the front door, it was obvious that we were expected, and that the cottage had been made welcoming and ready for our arrival. The cottage was cool, clean, and happy. We are thankful for other dog lovers that make their homes pet friendly. The fence was a huge plus! The only things that could have made a better impression and a more convenient stay would be to have the back patio and furniture blown off and to replace non-working light bulbs inside the house. The leaves and tree debris were pretty thick on the outdoor furniture. We tried to brush the chairs and glider off with our hands to be able to sit outside. It was obvious the leaves and debris had been there quite a while. We grilled out one night and wanted to sit outside but decided it wasn't worth wiping off the table and chairs too. Aside from that, we would definitely rent this cottage again. The bright colors and beachy decor make it a happy place. It was stocked with everything we needed. It is conveniently located near the beach, parks, and restaurants. Thank you for a great stay and for leaving a light on for us.

a month at the beach
My husband, dog and I spent a month at 1049 Oceanview. We really enjoyed our stay, loved being such a quick walk to the beach as well as Pier Village. Felt safe and quite comfortable. The only issue was the storm door did not close very well. looking forward to going back!

The house is super cute and decorated with a beach theme. There are three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. There is a grill in the back yard. The beach is within walking distance. However, if you plan to bring kids, beach gear, etc. you may want a wagon. Overall, really enjoyed the stay and would come back again!

Really enjoyed the cottage on Ocean View Drive. Three couples enjoyed this well equipped cottage for a beach get away. There was plenty of room with each couple having their own bedroom and bath. The cottage was very clean and had all the towels and linens we needed. We were able to make three full breakfasts in the well stocked kitchen. The beach was a short walk down the street. The cottage was located within walking distance to the village restaurants and shops and a short drive to the other island restaurants. We would definitely rent this cottage again.

great house for weekend beach getaway!
This was a great beach house for two small families. I was very pleased with how much space it really had, which is always hard to tell with the pictures. Kitchen had all the supplies we needed for cooking breakfast each morning. The outdoor area was nice since we had a fire one night. Bring bug spray and or candles because mosquitos were bad. The location was awesome. We walked to the village and the walk to the beach was super easy- no steps down to beach which is always good when you have a wagon to pull��. We hope to visit this property again soon!

We loved the cottage. It had a lot of charm. Plenty of room for our family of 4 to stay. We had everything we needed to host dinner for 12! Beds were comfortable and the house was clean. Loved the big tree in the back yard! The only improvement I would suggest would be some sort of rocks or mulch to cover up the dirt in the front yard

fantastic stay!
We had a wonderful time! It was perfect for two families with two small children. We were able to walk to the beach and easily walk to the village. The only negative I would give is the fan in the additional bedroom. It was really low, my husband and I both hit our hands and almost our heads on the blades.

a home away from home
We were very pleased with this house and location. We were surprised at the age of the home but the upgrades in which the owner invested were fabulous; ie. washer, dryer, refrigerator, and stove. There are some tripping hazards in the house and the back steps, but once we got familiar with them, we were able to easily work around them. We loved the opportunity to barbecue, but it was gnat season, so sitting outside was a bit of a challenge. This place is very pet friendly, especially with the fenced in backyard. We had so much fun walking the one block to the beach and the short walk to the village. The area was quiet and respectful, too. This is our second year vacationing on St. Simons and this experience was better than last year, which was pretty good, too. We hope to return next year.

We chose this cottage because it was dog friendly. It was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. Our only disappointment was we thought Oceanview would have an ocean view. Next time we want to see the ocean. Small complaints, we are elderly and none of your showers had a grab bar. And we wish we had lawn chairs to take to the ocean. We had problems with the T.V.s but your rental company couldn't have been more pleasant and efficient at getting us back to normal. I would give you an A.

lovely beach house!
This rental house was just as it was explained and pictures (minus the little fence out front and the hammock in the yard). The house was clean and well-stocked. We loved having the fully fenced backyard with the high fence! We have two dogs and while neither of them look to escape, given the right opportunity, one will jump a low fence... so the high fence was great! The only thing that would make this house better would be a screened in porch, as the bugs was pesky! We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back! (Oh, you may want to contact DirectTV to update the set top boxes, as that would probably allow high def to come through to the TVs, showing a better picture!)

super cute beach house
We were in the area to do 2 days of pre-wedding planning at Jekyll Island. We selected this beach house because it was in close proximity to the vendors we were seeing and also within walking distance to the beach. The home is adorable. It has a whimsical vibe with lots of color. It also has 3 bathrooms! We had 5 people staying for the 2 days and there was plenty of bedrooms and baths to make it comfortable for everyone. The neighborhood is super cute too. It has a combination of older bungalows and some newer construction but the streets are quiet and the neighbors (and their pets) are friendly. We were very happy with our stay and would love to return sometime.

The house was very cute and accommodated is perfectly. Having 3 bathrooms on a trip of girls was great! I was also pleased with the amount of toiletries that were provided when we arrived. The walk to to beach was not bad at all and the short walk into town made a great night of going to get ice cream after dinner.

We had a great time at Oceanview. The house was exceptionally clean when we arrived and provides plenty of room and amenities. Kitchen is well stocked and everything is in working order. The house is desperate need of new mattresses, they provide no support, are super loud when anyone moves and do not provide a good night sleep. The location is wonderful, a block to the beach and a short walk to the Village.

Second time staying in this wonderful home. 4 minute walk to the beach (never once has the beach been overly crowded). Walking distance to dining and pier. House is very clean and has all you would need including nice back yard with grill. Sticker price per night for rental is great, only negative is there were more fees this year that definitely increased the cost of the rental overall.

Clean, cute, and comfortable! We loved the shady, quiet street, and the front and backyards for reading and hanging out. The master bedroom bed was too soft for my husband, and we were a little confused on how to use the dishwasher (we eventually figured it out), but everything else was perfect!

We experienced a marvelous stay at 1049 Ocean View Ave. What a gem of a house. Super clean and beautifully outfitted home. All amenities were just as described. Loved the decor! Close to beach and shops. Beach was so empty it felt like we had it all to ourselves. We rented bikes and literally biked everywhere. Management company was quick to respond to any questions we had. Loved Crabbdaddys for dinner. We are coming back! (If I win the lottery, I want to buy a house in St. Simons, just like this one.)
