perfect stay at normandy cottage
My husband and I (and our dog) had a perfect stay at this lovely cottage. Its location is fantastic - a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shopping, but still tucked away on a quiet street. The cottage is well-kept, very clean, and stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the character of the cottage’s original details - beautiful! Emmons Realty provided a visitors guide that included everything we needed to stay at Normandy. I highly recommend a stay at this cottage.

cute little place
We stayed for a week in mid October with our dog. This house was a perfect location. We walked to the beach every morning, cooked meals at home, and really appreciated both the outdoor shower and the fenced in yard. The house has seen some wear but it was clean, well appointed, and on a nice quiet street. We liked it there and would recommend to others.

great cottage and location
Went for a long weekend. Great shady and fenced back yard was perfect for the dog- a picnic table and chairs made a good spot to drink coffee and let him enjoy some outside time in teh mornings. Screened front porch as a great place to sit and watch passers by. Dont think the house had wifi - unless I missed it, but didn't see a router and saw no access instructions. Hardwired cable TV was fine howeveer.

wonderful stay!
My husband and I stayed at this little cottage with our two dogs and had a lovely time. We loved the island and found this house was just the right fit even in 95 degree weather. I was pleasantly surprised that the rooms, to me, were bigger than the pictures. Especially the screened in porch that got a good workout along with the fan in there! The neighborhood was very walkable and the dogs enjoyed their morning and evening walks to the beach. They seemed to take offense at the fenced in back yard (maybe from getting their toes washed off in the outdoor shower) but we enjoyed walking them.

Me, my wife, son and two dogs loved this house! Perfect backyard to relax in and let the dogs run around. 5 minute walk to the beach. Inside the house is great! Plenty of seating in the living room for everyone to stretch out and relax after a day at the beach!

perfect for family with kids and dogs
Perfect week away with our family of 3 plus 1 dog. Very walkable to beach on a quiet street. Plenty of puzzles and games to keep us occupied at night.Another bonus was the walkability to lots of restaurants, brewery, ice cream, and shopping. The house is clearly a pet-friendly place which was great for us. I would definitely stay here again.

perfect for our mini vacation
We were last minute deciding where to go. Love SSI anyway, and the Normandy Cottage was perfect for us. Nicely furnished, great communications from Emmons, very comfortable beds, nice ourdoor shower. The main draw though was the location. Literally a block+ walk to the beach. Plus the public access we used had parking for vehicles and golf carts. We walked to restaurants each evening, too.

We loved our stay at Normandy Cottage!! The location was perfect. I’ve always stayed at East Beach condos but no more. Normandy was perfect for my husband and me. Clean, well appointed cottage and the beach cart was handy. We rented a golf cart but not necessary. Realty company was very responsive to a minor issue that did not affect the quality of the property or the beach experience!! We will be back!!

a perfect beach cottage
This was our first visit to SSI, and we were very happy with our accommodations at Normandy Cottage. I was thrilled to find a place we could bring our 2 dogs, and having a fenced in backyard with an outdoor shower to clean them off after the beach was wonderful. I loved that while the house has been updated with modern amenities, it still had 1940's cottage charm. It was more spacious than I anticipated, and the screened-in front porch was a very nice feature we enjoyed. The house was very clean and well-maintained with comfortable furniture, all the needed kitchen basics, and nice towels in the bathroom (that sounds minor, but it matters!). Emmons was great to work with, and the house was less than a 5-minute walk to the beach. We enjoyed walking to the beach as well as the Village for dinner each night that offers a plethora of restaurants. The house is on a very quiet street surrounded by beautiful mature trees, and we felt very safe there. We'll definitely be back!

We needed a get-away for the end of an awful 2021 & this cottage was perfect for doing so. It's rustic & quirky in a good way. Fantastic location with easy beach access and walk to town center. Easy check in, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Our only issue is that the bathroom needs some maintenance (slow drains and loose fixtures). Otherwise, total bliss & we will return!

This little cottage was perfect for our 3 person family. We took a wagon loaded up with chairs and umbrellas and walked down the street to the beach every day. So close and easy. The back deck was perfect for unloading and cleaning off before coming inside. We opted to eat out once a day so the kitchen was perfect for the other meals. Very nice, but a bit dark for my taste. Needed brighter lights. That’s hardly worth mentioning though. It was a nice place and we would rent again.

nice quiet getaway
Normandy Cottage was a lovely place for a tranquil week on the island. The house was clean and neat, and the street was quiet. The area in general is very dog friendly, and we were happy to find a place that embraced animals. We all enjoyed the outside area. There was plenty of seating and cooking space, and the weather was cool enough to eat outdoors. Sharing one bathroom was a little difficult, particularly in the mornings, but we knew what to expect as the property description was accurate. It was an worthwhile trade-off for the quaint cottage vibe.

Making arrangements with rental agent was easy. The property was easy to find, and instructions for entry were clear. The cottage was spacious for two of us, reasonably well maintained and clean. Startup supplies were limited, and we would have liked to have seen more in the way of paper supplies, soap, coffee, etc. The television in the living room provides limited cable and no capability for streaming Netflix and other similar entertainment services. Most of the furnishings are old and could use some refreshing, and woodwork inside and out would benefit from painting. Although the houses in the neighborhood are close to one another, the area is generally quiet except for the disturbance we experienced from a continually barking dog next door. There was no information provided about trash pickup, and we did not see a separate recyclable can in the house. The landscape maintenance contractor showed up one afternoon with no previous warning.

fantastic beach house
What a wonderful beach home. Our trip included me and my husband and our two dogs. The house is stoked well with everything you need. The fact the backyard was fenced made it so easy to have pups with you! We used every aspect of the house- the front screened porch for breakfast, the back patio for grilling on the charcoal grill, the bedroom had a very comfortable bed- everything was perfect! The house is so close to the beach, we would just walk right down to the beach access and it took maybe 4minutes if that. Also the home was located on a very nice street, we loved walking the pups around all the beautiful homes. I have nothing but good things to say- everyone should book this house!

Close to the beach, easy walking distance. My husband walked over to see the sunrise every morning. Also close to a number of restaurants. Cute, nicely decorated house. The house was very clean. Furniture in the living room and porch could have been a bit more comfortable and the porch needed to be cleaned due to all of the oak pollen. With that being said, we loved.tbis property and have already booked a stay for next year. However, loved the porch and enjoyed morning tea-coffee and afternoon drinks there. Management was very professional and pleasant the few times we contacted them.

fantastic getaway!
My husband, my brother, and I and our two dogs had a wonderful stay at Normandy cottage this past week. It was a spontaneous trip to St. Simons - our first visit there. The location of the cottage is AMAZING. Two blocks from a huge beach, a short walk to the public tennis courts at Mallery Park, and also to the village and brewery. This was our first vacation in a year and we loved it! The house has all the basics. (bring your own beach gear) and is clean and in good condition. It's a dog friendly rental, so of course we were not expecting brand new everything - it was as we expected. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking at home. The fenced-in yard is also great - perfect size for letting the dogs run around a bit during morning coffee. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Overall a great stay! Thanks!

The Normandy Cottage was just as advertised. Nice screened in front porch and fenced in backyard for our two Boston’s that accompanied us thanks to being pet friendly. 2 bedroom/1 bath cottage, older but remodeled, fits in perfect to a historical neighborhood. This was our third wedding anniversary getaway. We went with our two miniature Schnauzers. The location was perfect for our needs. We walked everywhere. The beach was 2 blocks away. great summer getaway!
Our family had a great stay at the Normandy Cottage. We stayed 5 nights, have two boys under 5, and brought our dog and had the best time. The cottage has just the right amount of space. The close proximity to the beach was great! We loaded up our wagon and walked there each day. The outdoor shower was extremely helpful and we used it every time we came back in. We had family staying at the K&P and we biked over because it was so close. The cottage is on a quiet street and close to everything. We would definitely stay here again!

Since being in quarantine for so long we just felt we needed to get away to the beach and the Norman cottage was absolutely wonderful. the dogs loved with the fenced in backyard. It was a perfect Cottage. the beds were comfortable the house is really nice and clean, and it was only a block from the beach. For my daughter and I it was the best three days we’ve had in a very long time. I definitely will come back again soon.

amazing beach location
We had stayed at this home before and it was exactly how we remember it. The home was clean and we were able to check in an hour early which was extremely helpful. The home is walking distance to the beach which is convenient with kids and beach items. The only issues we had were the beds were extremely soft (sagged a little in the middle) and the air-conditioning just couldn't keep up with the summer heat (just the way it goes on the island). Otherwise, the house had everything we needed for a relaxing stay and trips to the beach!

Normandy is a wonderful cottage within walking distance of the beach and the village. I've been coming to SSI for 13 years this and is my favorite place to stay. quaint, clean, and updated- normandy cottage was perfect!
Normandy Cottage was a precious beach house. It was perfect for our little family of four and a small dog. We loved the location to the Village (rode our bikes all over) and the quick, quiet walk to the beach. It was also nice to have the outdoor shower with little ones and a sandy dog! We enjoyed the updated decor and wanted for nothing. We have been coming to St Simons for years and always stay in a different place each time, but not anymore. We have found our spot!!

nice cottage, great location, very old mattresses
Overall a very nice cottage. It's nicely decorated and has a lot of charm. Spent a lot of time relaxing on the screened in front porch and the outside shower was very useful after a day at the beach. The bathroom could use more storage and counter space and the mattresses really need to be replaced. Upon leaving I stripped the queen bed and noticed how shabby it looked. I found a tag on it that said manufactured in 2001. The twin mattresses were not much better. I emailed the realtor about my concerns and was told that the information would be forwarded to the owners. I would stay here again gladly if they'd buy new mattresses!

We had a wonderful stay. The location could not have been better. Woke up every morning and headed to the beach with our dog. We were able to walk everywhere. Carla was so nice and quick when we needed to have the WiFi rebutted. This home had everything we needed for our stay. My only suggestion would be to replace some of the worn rugs and maybe some new cushions on the front porch. But those are minor things. Over all great vacation rental!!

wonder beach cottage!
Wonderful Cute Beach cottage., was decorated beautifully and loved the quaint charm. We loved the screened in porch and sat out on in daily. Perfect distance for a nice walk to both the beach and the village. Most of all we loved that we got to bring our dog with us on vacation that absolutely loved his first trip to the beach! Only suggestion would be either to have beach towels/chairs available for use or add to the listing that they were not so that guests could pack them. We just assumed they would be there thankfully we have family on the island and borrowed from them. Thanks for sharing the cottage with our family. We made wonderful Christmas memories there and hope to be back again!

we love this house
This is our third time at Normandy Cottage and it just gets better. We were there for 4 weeks during the last two fall seasons and also in the spring of 2106 for several weeks. The new kitchen lighting and W/D are great imporovements, along with the new landscaping. The back yard is actually growing grass! Our dogs loved it! This cottage has a great location and is well maintained. Improved furiture in the living room will be a big plus. great vacation rental on ssi
This cottage is in a great location on a quiet street in easy walking distance to the beach and to the village. The cottage was well equipped, comfortable, clean, and the rental company was easy to work with and quick to respond to questions. A plus was the fenced in yard for dogs, an outside shower with hot and cold water, and the screened in porch!

perfect stay as always
This is our 3rd stay in the last 3 years. We absolutely love the house and its location. It was perfect before but they've made some upgrades outside and with the furnishings so it's better than ever. Looking forward to next summer.

great beach house
This is our second time staying in this house. We love how close it is to the beach and the pier. Great outside shower and just enough space for our small family.

summer vacation - family of 5
The cottage is adorable & well-equipped with all the comforts of home. The location is excellent. It literally took a few minutes to get to the beach & a short walk or bike ride would get you to town. The internet had accidentally been unplugged & there was an issue with the AC prior to our arrival & within the 1st hour the staff had resolved both issues. I stayed alone with my 4 children & felt safe & comfortable. We will definitely be back next year!!

wonderful stay
It was so clean! We absolutely loved our stay at the Normandy Cottage. It was much bigger in person and so very clean. We loved the screened in porch and used it daily for coffee and relaxing. I wish we had another bathroom, but the bathroom was nice itself. The backyard area, which we did not really take advantage of, was huge! What a surprise. We loved the use of the washer and dryer as well as the internet and tv components. It was very easy to use with the provided directions. This could possibly be our new vacation spot! We loved the location and the house.

cottage in great location
Overall we had a good experience. Everything about the cottage was a little older than expected. We did not necessarily enjoy using stained towels and sheets. The cottage was stocked and set up with anything you would need. That part was great.

a little piece of heaven
This is the cutest house! We enjoyed every moment of our stay here. The house is well kept, clean and has a lot of room. If I ever get the opportunity to come back I would book this cottage again! We had a blast!

may get away
came down week before school was out, island atill quiet, great time to come down if you like lesser crowds. By Thursday the village was getting busy. the cottage is about perfect. Quiet street. walk back toward the end of the street, cross over and you are on the beach. Be careful pulling out the silverware drawer or you will dump it in the floor!! I did that twice. Cottage is clean and plenty of towels and other needs; you don't have to pack your own or go buy more at store. Would definitely stay again!!
